August 2006: Our Inn-to-Inn trip at Lake Champlain

Our vacation began on Wednesday, August 16 with a drive up to Burlington. Thursday we left the car behind and began our four days of biking. See the pictures for each day in the links (menu on the left). When we returned to Burlington on Sunday we drove to Madison, New Hampshire to spend Monday with our friends Lee and Sylvia. We then returned home on Tuesday, August 23.

Our bike route (below right) was recorded on our GPS which we used to plan our route and keep track of our progress. I've marked on it the three B&B's where we stayed so you can see how the days were divided up. Our route is clockwise beginning and ending in Burlington.

Lake Champlain Bikeways was our primary source for routes and information. They've mapped out over 1000 miles of bike routes in the area.
